In a letter dated 29/07/2021, Member Secretary of the State Legal Services Authority Raju Mukherjee has stated that Acting Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal of the Calcutta High Court has empanelled Advocate Ankani Biswas as the first transgender lawyer empanelled with the Legal Services Authority of West Bengal.
