Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, March 11, 2025: Today, the High Court of Chhattisgarh celebrated International Women’s Day. The event was organized at the auditorium of the High Court and was graced by the august presence of the Hon’ble Judges of the High Court of Chhattisgarh. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, The Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh.

On this occasion, Hon’ble The Chief Justice expressed the significance of this day, emphasizing the invaluable contributions of women in every sphere of life.

Hon’ble The Chief Justice acknowledged the leadership of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, calling her a beacon of inspiration. He highlighted her journey as a testament to the strength, resilience, and determination of women, symbolizing empowerment for millions across the Nation.

Hon’ble The Chief Justice also acknowledged the distinguished presence of Smt. Justice Rajani Dubey, the only woman Judge in the High Court of Chhattisgarh. Hon’ble The Chief Justice praised her dedication, contribution to the legal system, and deep sense of fairness, stating:

Her perseverance in the Judiciary is an inspiration to aspiring women in the legal profession.”

Hon’ble The Chief Justice further reflected on the progress women have made across various domains, from science and technology to politics and education.

The event also focused on recognizing and appreciating the contributions of women working in the Judiciary.

“As we honour the esteemed women here today, who are working in this High Court, I also, from this platform, acknowledge the services and contributions of women working in the District Courts, Civil Courts, and Labour Courts across the State of Chhattisgarh.”

The event was not only a celebration but also a reaffirmation of the collective responsibility to provide equal opportunities for women to grow and contribute in every field.

In closing, Hon’ble The Chief Justice expressed his hope that:

During the event, Mementoes were presented to female Senior Advocates, female Judicial Officers of different cadres, female officers of the High Court registry, and female employees of High Court as a mark of respect and appreciation for their dedication, wisdom, and compassion, which continue to elevate the legal profession and ensure justice remains fair and impartial.

Mementoes were also presented to the Medical Officer and staff of the dispensary situated at the Judges Colony and High Court premises to mark their contribution.
