The new guidelines set a registration fee of ₹750 for all categories except for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), who will be charged ₹125.
According to the directives issued by the Bar Council, the registration forms are available free of charge. Interested lawyers can download the forms from the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council and complete their registration by submitting the prescribed fee.
Previously, the Delhi Bar Council had also issued registration forms with a ₹750 fee in compliance with the Supreme Court’s decision, initiating the registration process there as well. Following the apex court’s decision, similar procedures are being adopted across various states in India, with improvements being made in the fee structure and registration process.
