The Kerala High Court recently ruled that use of high power audio systems, boosters and amplifiers that produce loud noise are not legally permissible in vehicles. As per the Bench of Justices Anil K Narendran and PG Ajithkumar, such loud noises impair the hearing of the driver and also distract other people on the road.
