UP Police Files FIR Against Gauri Khan in Lucknow Over Property Dispute

Gauri Khan, the designer and wife of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, has been charged with a crime. An FIR has been lodged against Gauri under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code (criminal breach of trust). The FIR was filed in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The complaint was filed by Jaswant Shah, a Mumbai resident, who claimed that the company, for which Gauri was the brand ambassador, failed to give him possession of a flat despite charging him Rs 86 lakh.

According to the complainant, he purchased the flat after being influenced by brand ambassador Gauri Khan. The complainant alleged that the flat located in Tulsiyani Golf View at Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City area was given to someone else.

The complaint was also filed against Tulsiyani Construction and Development Limited Chief Managing Director Anil Kumar Tulsiyani and its Director Mahesh Tulsiyani, in addition to Gauri.

Advocate Vaibhav Kalia, who is contesting various cases for Tulsiyani Group at Allahabad High Court Lucknow informed Law Trend that various cases have been settled and in some cases even bail has been granted to Chairman of Tulsiyani Group.

Sri Kalia said that these disputes are primarily civil in nature and between the builder and the allottee, however criminal proceedings have been initiated against Builder, which are subject matter of Allahabad High Court Lucknow.
