The Supreme Court has observed that the Centre should frame a uniform builder-buyer agreement to protect the interest of home buyers. A Bench headed Hon’ble Justice DY Chandrachud further stated that this is an important issue and is often put on the back foot by unfair clauses in agreements that are drawn up by builders.
