Termination of Contractual Employees For Unsatisfactory Service Without Giving Notice is Illegal, Rules Kerala HC

The Kerala High Court recently ruled that contractual employees cannot be terminated for “unsatisfactory performance” of their duties without giving show cause notice or finding to that effect. The Bench of Justice Anu Sivaraman stated that in the present case the primary reason for contract termination was that their services were found to be unsatisfactory.
