Supreme Court Designates Five Former High Court Judges as Senior Advocates

In a Full Court meeting held on October 29, 2025, the Supreme Court of India designated five former High Court judges as Senior Advocates. The notification, issued on October 31 by the Registrar (CDSA), stated that the designation takes effect from October 29.

Those Designated as Senior Advocates:

  1. Justice Gilani Madadali Nurmohammad, Former Judge, Bombay High Court
  2. Justice M. Govindaraj, Former Judge, Madras High Court
  3. Justice Pankaj Bhandari, Former Judge, Rajasthan High Court
  4. Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain, Former Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court
  5. Justice Tashi Rabstan, Former Chief Justice, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court

The notification was issued under the signature of Devender Pal Walia, Registrar (CDSA), confirming the Supreme Court’s approval of the designations.
