[Section 143A NI Act] Whether Power to Direct Interim Compensation is Directory or Mandatory? Answers Delhi HC

On Monday, the High Court of Delhi ruled that Section 143A of the N.I Act (Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881) is a directory provision and not a mandatory one. A Bench of Justice Anu Malhotra made this observation while setting aside a trial court order that used its power u/s 143A of the NI Act
