The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) has unveiled a new Help Desk designed to assist its members with both procedural and substantive aspects of practicing in the Supreme Court. This service aims to provide guidance on a variety of issues such as filing deadlines, case preparation, and understanding court protocols.
In an announcement made through a letter to the Secretary General of the Supreme Court, Mr. Nikhil Jain, the Honorary Secretary of SCAORA, highlighted that this initiative was spurred by valuable suggestions from the judiciary and is intended to be a crucial resource for all Advocates-on-Record (AORs).
Mr. Jain emphasized the benefits for newly appointed AORs, stating, “The Help Desk is particularly aimed at those who are new to the bar and need guidance navigating the intricate landscape of Supreme Court proceedings. It will help them avoid common pitfalls and foster a deeper understanding of the judicial process.”

Located at the SCAORA office, the Help Desk will operate on a bi-monthly basis, specifically on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Additionally, AORs can reach out via telephone or email for assistance.
SCAORA is actively encouraging all its members to utilize this new facility, stressing the importance of leveraging the collective wisdom and experience of the legal community to enhance their legal practice in India’s apex court.
