SC Lays Down Guidelines Regarding When Courts Can Direct DNA Testing Of A Child To Ascertain Paternity- Read Judgment

The Supreme Court recently ruled that conducting a DNA test in children to find out their paternity in a matrimonial dispute should be done in exceptional cases where the issue/controversy can’t be resolved without a DNA test. The court further opined that children have a right to not have their legitimacy frivolously questioned before court.
