P&H HC directs Appellate Court to inquire how a convict’s sentence was enhanced under the Court Reader’s signature

Recently, the Punjab & Haryana High Court took notice of a case where the Trial Court’s original conviction order was modified under the Court Reader’s signature and the sentence was enhanced to 2 years from 2 months. The Bench of Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan noted that all convicts were originally convicted u.s 323/326/ 120B IPC
