Recently, Kerala HC ruled that, If the owner is not aware that the driving licence produced by the driver is a fake one, she is not liable to compensate the victim. The bench of Justice Sophy Thomas was dealing with the appeal filed by the owner challenging the pay and recovery ordered by the Tribunal.
