Oudh Bar Association Prohibits Making of Video Reels in High Court Premises

The Oudh Bar Association of the High Court, Lucknow, has issued a notice appealing to young advocates, law clerks, and interns to refrain from making video reels within the court premises. The notice, dated September 24, 2025, states that such activities are undermining the dignity of the judicial institution.

The association observed that it has come to their attention that some junior members of the legal fraternity are not attending court proceedings but are instead “sitting in rooms and making reels.”

The notice, issued by General Secretary Lalit Kishore Tiwari, states that this conduct “is tarnishing the dignity of the Hon’ble High Court and the Oudh Bar Association.”

Through the notice, the association has made a formal appeal to all members to uphold the decorum and dignity of the High Court and the Bar Association. It explicitly requests individuals to “not make reels on the premises” and to “please keep your conduct dignified.”

The appeal serves as a directive to ensure that the professional environment and sanctity of the High Court are maintained.
