MP HC Dismisses Man’s Plea Seeking Rs 10 Lac Compensation For Serving More Jail Term Than His Punishment; Orders Him To Surrender For Erroneous Release
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has dismissed a plea seeking compensation for being imprisoned beyond sentence. After noting that the petitioner was released early, the Bench of Justices Ravi Malimath and Vishal Mishra ordered him to surrender. In the instant case, the petitioner was convicted for offences punishable under the IPC and the NDPS Act.
