In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Allahabad High Court has transferred 582 judicial officers across various levels in Uttar Pradesh. This move, described as the “annual transfer-2025,” was initiated on Sunday evening by Satish Kumar Pushkar, Joint Registrar of the Allahabad High Court.
The transfer list includes a substantial number of judges: 236 additional district and session judges, 207 civil judges of the senior division, and 139 civil judges of the junior division. The judges have been directed to take up their new assignments immediately.
Kanpur sees the highest number of transfers with 13 judges being reassigned. Following closely are Aligarh and Bareilly, with eleven and five judges transferred, respectively.

A key figure in this reshuffle is Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar, known for his verdict on the Gyanvapi Mosque survey in Varanasi. Previously stationed in Bareilly, Judge Diwakar has now been assigned to the Chitrakoot district court. His tenure in Bareilly was marked by significant rulings, including the issuance of a non-bailable warrant against prominent Islamic cleric Maulana Tauqeer Raza. Judge Diwakar is noted for frequently referencing religious texts in his judicial decisions, which has brought him into the spotlight on several occasions.
