Madras HC Refuses to Interfere in Transfer of Teacher, Saying Teacher’s Duty is to Impart Knowledge Not Hold Comfortable Posting

In a recent judgment, the Madras High Court dismissed a writ petition filed by Mr. K. Singaravelu, a B.T. Assistant (Geography) at Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Thiruthuraipoondi, Thiruvarur District.  The petitioner had sought to quash a transfer order issued by the authorities and requested to continue in his current position.  Justice C.V.
