In a notable turn of events, celebrated comedian Kapil Sharma has been granted relief by the court concerning a contentious episode from his show two years ago. Sharma, who has experienced his share of ups and downs throughout his career, found himself entangled in controversy following a particular act performed during an episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
The episode in question, which depicted a courtroom scene, featured Sharma and his team engaging in a skit where Sharma assumed the role of a lawyer. During the performance, Sharma delivered several double entendre jokes and even made references to alcohol while portraying the lawyer, which led to a legal complaint against him.
The complaint was filed by Suresh Dhakad, a lawyer from the Gwalior magistrate and session courts, who accused Sharma and the show’s producers of attempting to tarnish the image of courts and legal professionals. The court, however, dismissed the petition, providing Sharma with significant relief from the allegations.
