Newly appointed Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra, arrived in Raipur on September 6, 2026, ahead of his oath-taking ceremony scheduled for September 7.
Justice Mohapatra was accorded a warm and dignified welcome upon his arrival in the state capital.
Judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court, the Registrar General, PPS, Protocol Officer, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Raipur, and other judicial officers were present on the occasion.
Senior officials from the state administration, including the Principal Secretary of the Law Department, Collector of Raipur, Revenue Commissioner and other officials, also attended the welcome ceremony.
Oath-Taking Ceremony on September 7
Justice Mohapatra is scheduled to take oath as Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court at 1:30 PM on September 7 at Chhattisgarh Mandapam, Lok Bhavan, Raipur.
His appointment as Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court was notified by the Centre on September 5.
Ovation Ceremony at Chhattisgarh High Court
Following the oath-taking ceremony, an Ovation Ceremony in honour of Chief Justice Mohapatra is scheduled to be held at 4:15 PM on September 7 in the Chief Justice’s Court Room at the Chhattisgarh High Court in Bilaspur. The High Court has also listed the Ovation Ceremony for the same date and time.
The ceremonies will mark Justice Mohapatra’s formal assumption of office as Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
