Is Leave to Criminal Appeal Automatic? Kerala HC Says No, Application of Mind is Must

The Kerala High Court recently ruled that leave to appeal in a criminal appeal can only be granted after the Court has applied its mind to see if arguable points have been raised in the appeal.  Justice Kauser Edappagath made this observation while referring to the decision in State of Maharashtra v.
