Insurance Company Penalised for Rejecting Medical Claim

In a significant ruling, the district consumer disputes redressal commission in Chandigarh has penalised an insurance company for refusing to pay a medical claim of over ₹6 lakh to a resident of Panchkula. The case was filed by Pawan Sharda, who alleged that Star Health and Allied Insurance Company failed to honour his health insurance
