Impersonator Arrested in Uttar Pradesh Civil Court Staff Recruitment Exam

In a notable case of examination fraud, police arrested an impersonator during the Uttar Pradesh Civil Court Staff Recruitment Exam 2025, held at St. Xavier’s High School in Basti. The accused, identified as Ajay Yadav, was caught sitting for the exam in place of another candidate, Ayodhya Prasad.

The discrepancy was noticed when the vigilant examination center staff suspected Yadav of impersonation. Upon verification, the suspicions were confirmed, leading to immediate police action. Yadav, hailing from Datavali in Firozabad district, was reportedly taking the exam instead of Prasad, who is from Bhikharipur, Ambedkar Nagar district.

Principal Itendra Kumar notified the local police after the suspect was flagged by the examination supervisors. Subsequently, constable Ayub Khan and his team arrived at the scene and detained Yadav after preliminary questioning confirmed the allegations.

A formal complaint was lodged by the principal, and a case was registered under the Uttar Pradesh Examination Act. Further investigations are underway to determine if other individuals were involved in this fraudulent scheme. The police continue to interrogate Yadav to uncover the extent of the exam fraud at the state level.
