On 10 March 2026, a dignified felicitation ceremony was organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026 at the Unity Auditorium of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur. Following the arrival of the Hon’ble Judges and distinguished guests, the programme commenced with the National Anthem, after which the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp marked the formal inauguration of the event. The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh inaugurated the session.

On this occasion, 54 Women Officers, Advocates, Staff members & Women from different fields associated with the Judiciary were felicitated in recognition of their remarkable contributions and dedicated services in various fields connected with the Judicial system. The event served as an important platform to acknowledge and celebrate the empowered role, achievements, and contributions of women within the Judicial system and society at large.
During this dignified occasion, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, delivered the keynote address. In his address Hon’ble the Chief Justice emphasized the invaluable contributions of women in every sphere of society and acknowledged their strength, resilience, and dedication in shaping a progressive nation.
Referring to the theme “Give to Gain,” His Lordship stated that empowering women and providing equal opportunities at the Bench and the Bar strengthens the Judiciary, the rule of law, and democratic values. He emphasized the collective responsibility to remove barriers to women’s growth and appreciated the contributions of women serving in the High Court, District Courts, Civil Courts, and other allied departments across the State.
Concluding his address, His Lordship called for a renewed commitment to gender equality, noting that empowering women contributes to the overall progress and prosperity of the nation.
The programme proved to be a meaningful occasion to express gratitude and respect for the invaluable contributions of women. It left a positive and inspiring impact on all those present. Vote of thanks was delivered by the Additional Director of the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy.
The event was attended by the Hon’ble Judges of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Registrar General, Officers of the Registry, Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy & Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, Trainee Civil Judges of 2025 Batch, Advocate General, the Deputy Solicitor General, the Additional Advocate General, the Deputy Advocate General, Government Advocates and Deputy Government Advocates, office bearers and members of the High Court Bar Association, representatives of the State Bar Council, Senior advocates, Advocates, as well as the Judicial staff of the High Court of Chhattisgarh.
As per the directions of Hon’ble the Chief Justice, International Women’s Day was celebrated in all the District Courts across the State. On this occasion, Female Judicial Officers, Women Employees, Class-III and Class-IV Women staff, Women from different fields were felicitated in recognition of their valuable contribution to the justice delivery system.
