May, 9th, 2025: The District Court of Balodabazar marked a significant advancement in judicial modernization with the virtual inauguration of the Digitization Centre at the District and Sessions Court, Balodabazar (Chhattisgarh) by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh. This milestone reflects the judiciary’s ongoing efforts to create an efficient, technology-enabled, and citizen-friendly judicial environment.
The ceremony was graced virtually by Companion Judges, Hon’ble Shri Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas, Chairman, Computerization Committee; Hon’ble Shri Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal and Shri Bibhu Datta Guru, esteemed members of the Computerization Committee.
In his address, Hon’ble the Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha emphasized that
“Establishing a Digitization Centre within the District Judiciary significantly enhances significantly enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of judicial operations. This is the fifth district in the State where such a Centre has been inaugurated. We are committed to establishing Digitization and Scanning Centres throughout Chhattisgarh, and very soon, this initiative will be extended to other Districts as well.”
His Lordship further remarked that
“The establishment of this Digitization Centre is not merely about transitioning from paper to digital formats; it represents our firm commitment to embracing technology to technology to ensure justice is accessible, timely, and efficient.”
Hon’ble the Chief Justice lauded the efforts that
“technology is marching ahead in the functioning of the judicial process and only our task is that when we introduce these types of projects then duty is cast on us that we make most use of this. It should not be only an inaugural function where we assemble and we go away but I want to see that this Digitization Center is made use of by all the stakeholders who are connected with the District Judiciary.”
The Programme commenced with the welcome address by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Balodabazar and concluded with a vote of thanks on behalf of the District Judiciary by the Civil Judge, Senior Division, Balodabazar.
The virtual ceremony also witnessed the presence of the Registrar General, Officers of the Registry, Judicial Officers of the District Court, Balodabazar, Officials from the District Administration and Police Department, Distinguished Members of the Bar Associations of Balodabazar, and Representatives from print and electronic media.
