Delhi High Court Round-Up for Friday July 7

Important cases heard in the Delhi High Court on Friday, July 7:

*HC allowed a minor wrestler, who is one among the seven female grapplers who have accused outgoing BJP MP and Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment, to withdraw a plea relating to hearing of the matter by a competent court.

*HC said it would hear next week a petition challenging the constitutional and legislative validity of the Information Technology Amendment Rules, 2023, relating to online gaming.

*HC sought the stand of the New Delhi Municipal Council and police on a petition by the Delhi Waqf Board anticipating the demolition of a 150-year-old mosque at the Sunehri Bagh Road roundabout, and directed that status quo be maintained till August 14.
