Important cases heard in Delhi High Court on Friday, February 17:

* HC asked the Centre and AAP government to make an endeavour to expeditiously resolve the impasse over unpaid arbitral award by DMRC to Reliance Infrastructure-owned Delhi Metro Express Private Limited, saying there is a need to protect the Delhi Metro which constitutes the lifeline for the residents of the national capital.

* HC has sought the stand of the Centre on a petition seeking to recognise as valid the consent given by children aged 16-18 years for establishing a consensual physical relationship.

* HC asked the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board to file an affidavit explaining the reasons for adding or deleting a slum cluster in Mehrauli from the list of rehabilitated/ notified JJ clusters.

* HC asked the authorities to take all possible steps in a matter raising the issue of unhygienic conditions and poor maintenance of public toilets here.
