The Delhi High Court has rejected a plea from a woman who alleged that she healed herself of “25 bullet injuries” using homeopathic remedies, and who sought to summon those accused of attacking her. The court, presided by Justice Anup J Bhambhani, upheld the decisions of both the sessions court and the magisterial court, which had earlier dismissed her claims and refused to summon the accused.
The woman’s complaint, dating back to 2012, described a violent attack by individuals armed with “fully loaded” revolvers and a machine gun. Despite the severity of her alleged injuries, she claimed that she did not seek conventional medical treatment but instead used homeopathic medicines such as Calendula 30, Silicea 30, and Arnica 200, which she said caused the bullets to exit her body.
On March 6, the High Court dismissed her petition, stating, “Clearly, no comments are required from this court in relation to the petitioner’s testimony.” Justice Bhambhani noted the lack of coherence and cogency in her submissions, echoing the sentiments of the subordinate courts which found her claims to be “ex-facie improbable and unbelievable.”

Further, the sessions court had noted its reservations about the petitioner’s “psychological state” but refrained from making explicit comments. It also described her allegations as “patently absurd” and “improbable,” reasoning that if her narrative were true, the bullets would have been embedded deep within vital organs, making survival without extensive surgery highly unlikely.
