Consumer Court Tosses Out 2 Crore Claim Over McDonald’s Billing Blunder

In a verdict that underscores the importance of reasonable expectations in consumer grievances, the Bangalore Urban II Additional District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission dismissed a 2 Crore compensation claim against McDonald’s. The complaint, filed by Mr. S. Sumith Jain, stemmed from an incident involving a billing error at a McDonald’s store in Lido Mall, Bangalore.
