In a significant legal victory, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, ruled in favor of a consumer, Shri Narinder Kumar, in a complaint against tech giants Apple and Amazon. The case, marked as Complaint No. 141/2016, was presented on May 25, 2016, and a decision was rendered on December 5, 2023.
