Durg, August 06, 2026: Today, the pace of justice is being transformed by the power of technology, digital platforms, electronic evidence, and institutional coordination. India’s judicial system is passing through this phase of transformation, where courts are not only adjudicating cases but are also shaping the justice delivery system of the future.
In this changing landscape, the visionary directions given by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, during the State-Level Workshop on “Strengthening Digital Justice Through New Criminal Laws” held at Raipur, presented a clear roadmap for the State Judiciary—a roadmap towards a digital, transparent, integrated, and citizen-centric justice delivery system.
Under the guidance of Hon’ble Shri Justice P. P. Sahu, the implementation of Mediation 3.0 has gained significant momentum in District Durg. The workshop organized dated 06.08.2026 was aimed at acquainting Judicial Officers and Prosecution Officers with the principles, operational framework, and practical aspects of Mediation 3.0. It sought to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively integrate mediation into the justice delivery system, thereby fostering a collaborative, efficient, innovative, and future-oriented approach to dispute resolution.
The workshop focused on the practical implementation of the Nyaya Shruti Platform, scientific appreciation and management of electronic evidence, digital court processes, stakeholder coordination and the expanding role of Mediation 3.0 in promoting efficient, transparent and citizen-centric justice delivery. Special emphasis was laid on the effective implementation of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, which envisage a modern, technology-enabled criminal justice ecosystem founded upon authenticity, transparency and institutional integration.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Judicial Officers, Public Prosecutors, Government Pleaders, District Public Prosecutors (DPOs), Assistant District Public Prosecutors (ADPOs) and court staff. The participants actively engaged in technical sessions on Nyaya Shruti, digital evidence management, emerging procedural reforms under the New Criminal Laws and the evolving role of mediation in ensuring timely, effective and accessible justice delivery.
The workshop also reaffirmed the importance of coordinated efforts among the Judiciary, Prosecution and Court Staff for strengthening public confidence in the justice delivery system through effective utilisation of technology, scientific investigation and continuous institutional capacity building, in line with the vision articulated by Hon’ble High Court of Chhattisgarh.
The joint workshop on “Mediation 3.0” and “Nyaya Shruti” organized by the District Court, Durg (Chhattisgarh) reflects the court’s commitment to strengthening institutional efficiency and adopting innovation in the administration of justice.
