In a collective gesture of solidarity, Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai and other judges of the Supreme Court have decided to voluntarily contribute ₹25,000 each to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.
A statement issued on Tuesday said the move reflects their “deep concern for the prevailing flood situation across various regions of the country” and reaffirms the judiciary’s “unwavering commitment to humanitarian values and national service.”
The CJI and fellow judges also conveyed their deep sympathy to families affected by the floods and extended heartfelt wishes for swift relief operations, recovery, and the restoration of normalcy in the impacted areas.
