Prayagraj, May 31: Chief Justice of India Justice B.R. Gavai on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed High Court Advocates’ Chambers and Multilevel Parking facility within the premises of the Allahabad High Court in Prayagraj. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of several dignitaries, marking a significant step toward enhancing infrastructure for the legal fraternity in one of India’s oldest High Courts.
The new building, situated behind the main Allahabad High Court structure, is aimed at addressing the longstanding space constraints faced by advocates and improving amenities in the court premises. Alongside the inauguration of the chambers and parking complex, a branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) was also formally opened within the Chambers’ Building.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal was also in attendance, reflecting the central government’s continued focus on judicial infrastructure development.

Several sitting judges of the Supreme Court joined the Chief Justice of India for the ceremony, including Justice Surya Kant, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice J.K. Maheshwari, Justice Pankaj Mittal, and Justice Manoj Misra.
Chief Justice Gavai had arrived in Prayagraj on Friday evening. He was received at Prayagraj Airport by Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police Prashant Kumar. In view of the high-profile event, senior administrative officers including the Divisional Commissioner, District Magistrate, and Chief Development Officer conducted a final inspection of the venue on Friday night following the arrival of the dignitaries.
