Bilaspur, 20th November 2024: The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Shri Ramesh Sinha, virtually inaugurated the Post Office at the South Bastar Dantewara District Court Complex and a newly constructed residential colony for judicial officers and staff in Bijapur today. Addressing the occasion virtually from the High Court in Bilaspur, the Hon’ble Chief Justice emphasized the significance of ensuring quality infrastructure and a conducive working environment in every district of Chhattisgarh.
He remarked, “Our priority is to provide fully equipped and quality court complexes and residential facilities in every district of Chhattisgarh. Today’s inauguration of a new residential colony for judicial officers and staff in a remote area like Bijapur is a significant step towards this vision.”
The Hon’ble Chief Justice extended his best wishes to the judicial officers and staff for their new accommodations and advised them to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the premises for the benefit of future residents.
The addition of a Post Office at the South Bastar Dantewara District Court Complex is expected to provide significant convenience to advocates, litigants, staff, and the local community, facilitating easier access to postal services and contributing to the timely delivery of justice.
The newly inaugurated residential colony in Bijapur includes:
– 01 ‘E’ Type residence
– 05 ‘G’ Type residences
– 10 ‘H’ Type residences
– 08 ‘I’ Type residences
With a total of 24 fully equipped residences, the colony is designed to enhance the quality of life for judicial officers and staff, thereby fostering a better working environment.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice, Shri Ramesh Sinha also conducted a virtual inspection of the newly inaugurated facilities. Hon’ble Shri Justice Arvind Kumar Verma, Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court and Portfolio Judge for Dantewara, graced the event with his virtual presence.
Highlighting the progress in judicial infrastructure under his leadership, Hon’ble Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha noted that establishing court buildings, dispensaries, post offices, and residential facilities for judicial staff has been a longstanding priority. His vision and guidance have led to remarkable improvements in judicial infrastructure across the state, ensuring convenience for litigants and better working conditions for judicial officers and staff.
This development is a testament to the commitment of the Chhattisgarh High Court under the Hon’ble Chief Justice’s leadership to create a modern, efficient, and accessible judicial system in the state.
