15.12.2025: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, today inaugurated major judicial infrastructure and technology initiatives which included:-
- Inauguration of the newly constructed additional floor at the District and Sessions Court Annexe Building, Bilaspur, and the launch of the e-Malkhana and the first paperless court.
- Virtual inauguration of the newly constructed additional building at the Family Court, Bilaspur.
- Virtual ground-breaking and foundation stone-laying ceremony for the new Civil Court Building and residential colony for judicial officers and staff in Takhatpur.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice also released a Braille Book at the District Court, Bilaspur, marking a significant step towards strengthening access to justice and promoting inclusivity.
The programme was hosted at the District Court, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
The ceremony was graced by the august presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Parth Prateem Sahu, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi, Portfolio Judge, District Bilaspur, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Deepak Kumar Tiwari, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sachin Singh Rajput, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arvind Kumar Verma, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bibhu Datta Guru, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Amitendra Kishore Prasad.
Hon’ble the Chief Justice highlighted that the strength of the judiciary lies in the trust reposed by the people and not merely in physical structures.
He emphasized that the inauguration signifies a collective commitment towards justice, governance, and public service. He observed that the people of Chhattisgarh have unwavering faith in the rule of law, and it is the responsibility of the judiciary to reinforce this faith through accessible, efficient, and compassionate justice delivery.
Highlighting infrastructure development, the Hon’ble Chief Justice stated that the additional floor of the Annexe Building of the District Court, Bilaspur, and the additional building of the Family Court, Bilaspur, will ease congestion and strengthen the framework for dignified and expeditious dispute resolution. He further noted that the proposed Civil Court Building at Takhatpur will enhance access to modern judicial infrastructure at the grassroots level.
On technological reforms, the Hon’ble Chief Justice highlighted the launch of the E-Malkhana System as a vital step towards transparency and accountability in case property management, and described the paperless court initiative as a progressive move towards efficient, sustainable, and technology-driven adjudication.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice also highlighted that the release of the Braille Book reflects the judiciary’s commitment to inclusive justice and equal access to legal information for persons with visual impairment.
Emphasizing future reforms, the Hon’ble Chief Justice stated that strengthening judicial infrastructure must remain central to justice delivery, complemented by the judicious use of technology to reduce delays, enhance transparency, and bring the courts closer to the people.
The inauguration of the above-mentioned function began with the welcome speech of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bilaspur, and concluded with the vote of thanks by the Principal Judge of the Family Court, Bilaspur.
The event was attended by the Registrar General of the Chhattisgarh High Court, other registry officials, PPS, protocol officers, judicial and administrative officers of Bilaspur district, advocates, court staff, as well as representatives from electronic and print media.
