Chhattisgarh HC CJ Ramesh Sinha Says Ensuring Fully Equipped Courts and Residential Facilities for Judicial Officers and Staff is Our Priority

Bilaspur, 04th January 2025: Today, on January 04, 2025, a significant event took place towards enhancing the Judicial infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. In this historical event, Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, virtually inaugurated New Residential Colony for Judicial Officers at Rampur, District Raigarh, Additional Court room and Residential building for Staff at Gharghora Raigarh from High Court in Bilaspur. Along with this, Hon’ble The Chief Justice laid the foundation Stone for the “Nyay Sadan” at District Court Campus Raigarh.

Presiding over the digital platform, the Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, addressed the virtual gathering with insight and foresight along with esteemed presence Hon’ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh, and Portfolio Judge for Raigarh, District. Addressing the occasion virtually from the High Court in Bilaspur, Hon’ble The Chief Justice emphasized the significance of ensuring quality infrastructure and a conducive working environment in every district of Chhattisgarh.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble The Chief Justice expressed, “Our priority is to provide fully equipped and quality court complexes and residential facilities in every district of Chhattisgarh. Today’s inauguration of a new residential colony for judicial officers and staff and additional court room at Gharghora and foundation Stone Laying for “Nyay Sadan” at District Court Campus District Raigarh is a significant step towards this vision.”

Hon’ble The Chief Justice extended his heartfelt congratulations to everyone on the occasion of this inauguration of new accommodations, additional court room, and foundation Stone Laying for “Nyay Sadan”.

Hon’ble The Chief Justice also conducted a virtual inspection of the newly inaugurated facilities. Hon’ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Portfolio Judge for District Raigarh, graced the event with his virtual presence.

The newly inaugurated residential colony at Rampur District Raigarh includes 04 ‘D’ Type 02 ‘E’ Type residences for Judicial Officers, Staff residential building at Gharghora includes 01 ‘G’ Type, 04 ‘H’ Type and 04 ‘I’ Type residences. With a total of 15 fully equipped residences are designed to enhance the quality of life for judicial officers and staff, thereby fostering a better working environment.

Judicial infrastructure, Court buildings with facilities like Banks, Dispensaries, Post Offices and accommodations for officers and staff have always been a priority for the Hon’ble The Chief Justice. Under His visionary leadership and guidance, there has been significant progress and improvement in the judicial infrastructure, Court buildings, Post offices and dispensaries in Court premises and residential facilities for officers and staff in the State of Chhattisgarh. This development has not only facilitated litigants but also created a better work environment for judicial officers and staff.

The virtual ceremony was attended by Registrar General Mr. K. Vinod Kujur, Officers of Registry, legal professionals, officers from judiciary and administration, and print and electronic media.
