Bilaspur, Date 21.03.2025: Another important progress is being made in the Chhattisgarh Judicial System today, in the remote district of Surajpur, a new record room was constructed for the security of judicial records and in order to provide a harmonious environment to the victims of sexual harassment in the court premises, the virtual inauguration ceremony of the waiting hall for victims constructed was held at 10:00 am in the dignified presence of the Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Ramesh Sinha, Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur and Hon’ble Justice Mr. A.K. Prasad, Portfolio Judge of Surajpur in virtual form.
Hon’ble Chief Justice while addressing the above program said that during the inspection of Surajpur District Court, he came to know that the ancient records since year 1949 are available in the Record Room, but there was no proper arrangement for maintaining the records, in connection with which a new Record Room was constructed and it is a pleasure to see the records safe and organise form. In the same way, in order to provide a cordial environment to the victims of sexual harassment in the Court premises a newly Waiting hall was constructed, they will feel more secure when the minor victim of POCSO Act is present in the newly constructed waiting hall and there will be no inconvenience of any kind in giving testimony regarding their cases.
It is noteworthy that under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Ramesh Sinha, Judicial infrastructure, Employee / Officer Accommodation, Court Room, Record Room, Witness waiting Room, Computerization is being done. As a result of which important innovations and improvements have been made in Chhattisgarh State under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief justice in relation to judicial infrastructure, employee/officer accommodation, post office, dispensary, protection and digitization of records, providing convenient environment to witnesses.

Along with the geographical situation in the State of Chhattisgarh, the problems of the court and employees and the facilities available to the witnesses have been understood through the tour conducted by the Hon’ble Chief Justice and regular efforts have been made for their resolution.
As a result of the foresight and welfare policies of the Hon’ble Chief justice, today in the District court, Surajpur, 8 rooms have been inaugurated in the new Record Room for proper and systematic storage of records and a waiting hall for providing comfort and facilities to the victims of sexual harassment.
Today, the Registrar General of Hon’ble Chhattisgarh High Court, other Officers of the Registry and District Judges of Surajpur District, Judicial Officers, Administrative Officers and Police Officers, Advocates, representatives of print media and electronic media were present. in the above mentioned virtual inauguration.
