11th August, 2025: Reaffirming its dedication to institutional growth and modern amenities, the Virtual Inauguration Ceremony of the Court of Civil Judge Senior Division at Kharsiya and Digital Computer Room at District Court, Raigarh, along with the Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of the Lawyers’ Hall and Digital Computer Room at Gharghoda and Judicial Officer Residences at Bhatgaon and Bilaigarh, Civil District Raigarh (C.G.), was held on 11th August, 2025.
The auspicious event was graced by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, who virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of the projects. His Lordship’s leadership reflects an enduring dedication to reform, innovation, and the advancement of modern judicial infrastructure across the State.
The virtual ceremony was followed by a short video presentation featuring the Court of the Civil Judge (Senior Division) at Kharsiya and the Digital Computer Room at the District Court, Raigarh, reflecting the planned development and the commitment to quality and efficiency.
Joining His Lordship was Hon’ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Portfolio Judge of Civil District Raigarh. The Hon’ble Judges of the High Court also witnessed the programme virtually.
Also present were the Registrar General and Officers of the Registry, Principal District & Sessions Judge , Judicial Officers, District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Office-bearers of Bar Association, and Court personnel from district Raigarh. Judicial Officers from other districts also joined the programme virtually.
In his keynote address, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, expressed his appreciation for the initiative to strengthen the judicial infrastructure of Raigarh district. He affirmed that the establishment of new Courts, digital facilities, Lawyers’ hall, and Judicial residences will significantly improve the convenience, morale, and efficiency of Judicial Officers, Advocates and Court staff.
The Chief Justice emphasised that infrastructure development in the Judiciary, especially in districts and outline Courts, plays a pivotal role in enhancing the justice delivery system. He remarked that well-equipped Court complexes and adequate residential facilities for Judicial Officers and staff create a conducive environment for effective functioning, benefiting both the legal fraternity and litigants alike.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Shri Jitendra Kumar Jain, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Raigarh, who highlighted the significance of the projects and extended gratitude to the dignitaries and stakeholders involved.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Shri Devendra Sahu, District & Additional Sessions Judge FTSC (POCSO), Raigarh, who conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble the Chief Justice, Hon’ble Judges, Officers of the district administration, and the dedicated teams whose combined efforts made this event successful.
This milestone reflects the Chhattisgarh Judiciary’s enduring resolve to develop robust infrastructure, promote institutional well-being, and ensure better facilities for advocates, litigants, and court staff, thereby supporting the efficient dispensation of justice at all levels.
