Bilaspur, August 30th, 2025: As part of the ongoing Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, a Debate Competition for Judicial Officers of the District Judiciary was held on August 30, 2025, at the High Court Auditorium. The topic for the debate was “Impact of Technology in Crime,” which saw enthusiastic participation from judicial officers across the state.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, who also presided over the prize distribution ceremony. Shri Ishan Vyas secured the first prize, followed by Ms. Soumya Rai in second place, and Ms. Namita Minj Bhaskar in third place. Hon’ble the Chief Justice also presented certificates of participation to all the remaining participants, appreciating their commendable efforts.
Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble the Chief Justice commended the participants for their insightful arguments and eloquence, emphasizing the increasing role of technology in both facilitating and combating crime. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, warmly applauded the young judges and advocates for presenting compelling and thought-provoking arguments on some of the most pressing issues of our time. He commended their clarity of thought, depth of understanding, and commitment to engaging with contemporary legal challenges with intellectual vigor and conviction.
