Chhattisgarh Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Directs ₹4 Lakh Fine Funds for Welfare of Children in Care and Observation Homes

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of The High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, with a farsighted and compassionate approach, has directed that the fines collected in various judicial cases be deposited in observation homes and institutions running care homes for physically and mentally challenged children, to support their integral development.

In accordance with his directive, a total amount of ₹4,02,000 (Four Lakh Two Thousand Rupees) collected as fines during the period from 11.09.2024 to 11.07.2025 is to be deposited in child observation homes and child care homes for physically and mentally challenged children located in various districts of the state. Out of this amount, ₹2,06,000 (Two Lakh Six Thousand Rupees) has already been deposited in institutions working for the welfare of physically and mentally challenged children, and ₹1,79,000 (One Lakh Seventy-Nine Thousand Rupees) has been deposited in observation homes.

These funds will be utilized by the respective institutions for the comprehensive development of the children through quality education, improved healthcare facilities, sports equipment, educational books, and the organization of various activities aimed at overall development.
