The Second State Level Meet on Performance and Evaluation of National Lok Adalat was organized with great solemnity and significance on 18th December, 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority. The programme was organised by the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority in association with the High Court of Chhattisgarh, with the objective of reviewing achievements and evaluating performance for strengthening the National Lok Adalat system in the State.
The State Level Meet was chaired by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Patron-in-Chief, Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority. The meet was co-chaired by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Executive Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Parth Prateem Sahu, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Chairman, High Court Legal Services Committee.

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Patron-in-Chief, Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, in his keynote address, emphasized that National Lok Adalats have emerged as one of the most effective instruments for realizing the vision enshrined in Article 39A of the Constitution of India by ensuring equal access to justice. He shared that during the last nine National Lok Adalats, an extraordinary number of 2,27,18,454 cases have been disposed of, and that Chhattisgarh has consistently featured among the top five States at the national level in terms of total case disposal. He expressed his deep appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authorities, judicial officers and Para Legal Volunteers, whose unwavering commitment has made these remarkable achievements possible.
On the occasion, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Patron-in-Chief, Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority conferred Certificates of Appreciation upon all District Legal Services Authorities, Principal Judges and Judges of the Family Courts, and Para Legal Volunteers in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the success of National Lok Adalats. His Lordship also conferred mementos upon the best performing Districts and the best performing Family Courts for their exemplary performance in the National Lok Adalats held on 16th December, 2023 and during the years 2024 and 2025.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Executive Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority delivered the Welcome Address. The vote of thanks was delivered by Member Secretary, Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority.
The programme was attended by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sachin Singh Rajput, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arvind Kumar Verma, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bibhu Datta Guru and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Amitendra Kishore Prasad. The meet was also attended by the Registrar General and Officers of the Registry, Director and Officers of the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, Member Secretary and Officers of the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, Principal District and Sessions Judges and Judges of the Family Courts of all districts, Chairman, Permanent Lok Adalat, Chief Judicial Magistrates, Secretaries of District Legal Services Authorities and nominated Para Legal Volunteers from all districts of the State.
The Second State Level Meet concluded on a high note with a collective resolve to continue strengthening the National Lok Adalat in Chhattisgarh, reaffirming the commitment of the judiciary and legal services institutions towards delivering speedy, accessible and affordable justice to all.
