The Central Government has officially notified the elevation of three distinguished judicial officers as Judges of the Madras High Court. The newly appointed judges are:
1. Ms. R Poornima
2. Shri M Jothiraman
3. Dr. (Smt) Augustine Devadoss Maria Clete
The appointments come following the recommendation by the Supreme Court Collegium, which had proposed their elevation on September 10, 2024. The notification marks a significant step in strengthening the judicial bench of one of the country’s oldest and most respected high courts.
