The central government has notified the appointment of one permanent judge and three additional judges to the Karnataka High Court.
The notification confirms the appointment of Shri Kurubarahalli Venkataramareddy Aravind, who was serving as an Additional Judge, as a Permanent Judge of the Karnataka High Court.
Furthermore, three Judicial Officers have been elevated to the position of Additional Judges. The newly appointed Additional Judges are:
- Smt. Geetha Kadaba Bharatharaja Setty, Judicial Officer
- Borkatte Muralidhara Pai, Judicial Officer
- Shri Tyagaraja Narayan Inavally, Judicial Officer
These appointments were made following the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium. The appointments are expected to increase the judge strength of the High Court, aiding in the quicker disposal of pending cases.
