Centre Notifies Appointment of Advocate Anshul Raj as Patna High Court Judge

In a significant development for the judiciary in Bihar, the Central Government has notified the appointment of Advocate Ansul, also known as Anshul Raj, as a Judge of the Patna High Court. The appointment was formally announced by the Union Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge), Arjun Ram Meghwal, on the social media platform X.

The appointment has been made by the President of India in the exercise of powers conferred by the Constitution of India. This decision follows the mandatory consultation process with the Chief Justice of India, ensuring the selection adheres to the established constitutional procedure for judicial appointments.

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal confirmed the development, stating:

“In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint Shri Ansul @ Anshul Raj, Advocate as a Judge of the Patna High Court. I convey my best wishes to him.”
