The Bombay High Court has granted interim bail to the father of one of the minors linked to the high-profile Pune Porsche crash case, permitting him to attend the last rites of his own father. The temporary relief extends from August 2 until 12 noon on August 5, 2025.
Justice Ashwin Bhobe, while passing the order on August 1, directed the accused to execute a personal bond of ₹25,000, along with a cash surety of an equal amount. The court further instructed that the accused must surrender before jail authorities by 12 noon on August 5.
The man was arrested by the Pune Crime Branch in August 2024 for his alleged involvement in tampering with the blood samples of minors who were present during the Porsche crash incident, which had sparked nationwide outrage.

Appearing for the accused, Advocate Abid Mulani submitted that his client’s father had passed away on August 1 and that he was the only adult male in the family available to perform the funeral rites. He sought urgent hearing and assured the court that the accused would file an undertaking by August 4, pledging to surrender on the stipulated date.
The court took note of the humanitarian grounds cited and granted the interim relief accordingly. The case continues to be under active investigation.
