Assam Set to Introduce a New Cow Protection Bill

Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has stated that the State government will introduce a cow protection bill in the Next Assembly Session. He made these comments while attending the 15th Assam Assembly Session. He further stated that the government would adopt a zero-tolerance policy for protecting the cows that provide life-sustaining milk and are considered sacred.
