Allahabad High Court Postpones Hearing on Jama Masjid Whitewashing Case to March 10

The Allahabad High Court has deferred the hearing concerning the whitewashing of Jama Masjid in Sambhal to March 10. The decision came after the court had previously directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to undertake cleaning of the mosque’s premises without issuing an order for its whitewashing.

During the session on Tuesday, the counsel representing the Masjid Committee presented objections to the ASI’s report, prompting the ASI’s counsel to request additional time to file a response. The court granted this request, leading to the adjournment of the hearing.

Further details shared by the Masjid Committee’s counsel highlighted that the cleaning activities at the mosque are currently being carried out under the supervision of the ASI, adhering to an earlier court directive.
