Allahabad High Court Grants Bail to Bhojpuri YouTuber Mani Miraj in Rape Case After Complainant Raises No Objection

The Allahabad High Court has granted bail to Bhojpuri YouTuber and comedian Mani Miraj alias Ramdi Miraj Alam, who is accused of rape and assault in a case registered at Khoda Police Station in Ghaziabad.

Miraj was booked on allegations of rape on the pretext of marriage and has been in judicial custody since October 6, 2025.

During the hearing, counsel for the applicant submitted that Miraj had agreed to marry the complainant under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act.

Counsel appearing for the complainant informed the court that since both parties had entered into a compromise for solemnising the marriage, he had no objection to the grant of bail.

The State opposed the bail plea on the ground that the allegations against the applicant were serious.

Justice Gautam Chowdhary, by order dated February 17, allowed the bail application and directed that the applicant be released on bail.

The court passed the order despite the State’s opposition, taking note of the submissions made on behalf of the parties.
