The High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has issued an official order (No. b 5 b 5 /Establishment) regarding the deployment of officers to facilitate operations at the High Court Camps established for the Kumbh Mela 2025. The camps, located at ‘VIP Ghat’ near Fort Prayagraj and ‘Arail Ghat’, aim to ensure smooth functioning and prompt service for Hon’ble Judges and visiting dignitaries.
This decision follows a resolution by the Hon’ble Protocol Committee and the Hon’ble Expenditure Committee, dated January 8, 2025. The Registrar (Protocol) has been entrusted with assigning officers and staff as per operational requirements at these camps.
The deployment includes Section Officers, Review Officers, and Assistant Review Officers from various departments, such as Administration, Criminal Contempt, Library, Accounts, and others. Notable appointees include Shiv Shanker Lal (Admin), Sanjeev Kumar Mishra (Criminal Bail), and Ashish Khare (Judicial Chamber). Reserved lists have also been prepared for additional support if needed.
The establishment of High Court Camps during the Kumbh Mela reflects the judiciary’s commitment to maintaining efficient legal support and services during one of the world’s largest religious gatherings. The initiative ensures that legal concerns of attendees, as well as administrative matters, are addressed swiftly.
The Registrar General has directed all concerned officers to report to the Registrar (Protocol) for immediate instructions. This proactive approach highlights the High Court’s preparedness to manage its role effectively during such a grand event.
