Gangster Mukhtar Ansari’s son, Abbas Ansari’s hopes of getting parole from Allahabad High Court to attend his father’s funeral have been dashed.
Abbas, who is lodged in Kasganj jail in Uttar Pradesh, had sought parole from the court to attend the funeral of his father Mukhtar Ansari.
Due to the absence of Justice Sanjay Singh of Allahabad High Court, its case was transferred to the bench of Justice Samit Gopal.
Justice Samit Gopal’s bench refused to hear any case coming from another bench.
Due to this, Mukhtar’s family’s petition could not be mentioned in the High Court
However, Allahabad High Court did not hear his petition, due to which he will not get a chance to attend his father’s last farewell.
However, the lawyers are also trying to get the case mentioned before the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court and the Chief Justice nominates a bench for hearing.
After this, the next step of Abbas Ansari’s family will be to knock the doors of the Supreme Court, where they will seek relief in this case.
Ansari family’s lawyer Upendra Upadhyay informed about this decision and said that the family is now preparing to file a petition in the Supreme Court.
