Hyderabad – Popular actor Allu Arjun has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody following his alleged involvement in a stampede at the premiere of his film “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” The tragic event, which occurred at Sandhya Theatre more than a week ago, resulted in the death of 35-year-old Revathi and left her son hospitalized with serious injuries.
The incident unfolded on December 4 when Allu Arjun’s appearance at the venue caused an uncontrolled surge of fans attempting to enter the theater. Reports suggest that the chaos was due to insufficient crowd management and security arrangements, despite the theater management being aware of the high-profile visit.
In the wake of the tragedy, police detained three individuals, including a co-partner of the theatre, and subsequently charged Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station, based on a complaint from the deceased woman’s family.
